i hear a lot of 60s and 70s influence in this song...one of those tune in and tune out songs ...something Pink Floyd would create... Groovin oh yeah i'm feeling it...

mmm... The metalophonetypething is nice @ the beginning. Lovely harmoies, lovely lyrics. Haha! The drummy bit is funky! Definately Floydy at beginning, and then gets more Supertramp.

The crunchy guitar sounds great! Oh yeah! Very groovy!

I think I would've had a solo-y fadeout, and I'd've liked to hear more of those strings from the beginning, but that's just me.

I keep going back to hear that intro. It's SO good. Nodding

I would agree there are elements of Pink Floyd here, also later in the track I heard elements of Blue Oyster Cult...but it is also the unmistakeable distinctive magic of far4now music - original, soulful, and moody. Mick's original backing is great and very well produced, and Gene has added direction and emotion to form an awesome combination. Love those vocal harmonies and the guitar - top class work/collab Bowing Down

Holy crap this is really freaking cool. Those vocals are excellent, the melodies are rich. The one keyboard sound is a little. . strange when it's left on its own (though in the mix with the vocals and everything it sounds very cool.)

That weird guitar solo is cool too.

I will steer clear of comparisons on this one and express how the song makes me feel...

I like the vibe on this as it does have its roots in English progressive and blues rock. Lava Lamp

The lead vocal lines are really expressive and the effects are subtle enough to where they do not compromise the integrity of the track...
Nice guitar licks, simple and melodic that follow the song very well and of course "Mick on Bass" and drum/key programming... splendid

ooo those vocals at the intro are haunting, ... love that feeling
love the synth work along with the guitarwork
the bass grove along with the palm muted guitar parts, sound just great..
cant think of anything that'd needed improvement (except for the fact that neither of you told me abt this track)

When the delightfully warped doorchime intro grew up/blew up, that put me in mind of "The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking"-era Roger Waters, for some reason. A large part of that was the vocals, I think.
This isn't your strongest work lyrically, but the sheer scope of the subject, such an abstract notion and one that's been the impetus of so very many songs...you really challenged yourself, whether that was your intention or not. And challenging people to do a bit of introspection, to fundamentally change, if that's what they feel compelled to do by that self-evaluation...that's a pretty tough sell for a song.
But a worthwhile goal.

Whoa....You've really been pushing the envelope of creativity with this. I really like how this starts with the minimalistic foreboding introduction. When the drums kick in, it has a great late 70's pop feel that put a smile on my face. I really like what you did with the guitar. It seemed to lose the groove somewhere in the middle of the guitar solo....maybe polish that up a bit??? Otherwise, an excellent endeavor my friend.

At first I thought this song sounded like it had 80's influences... but later it has 60's-70's sounds.

I love the haunting harmonies at the top of this track Clapping really set a neet and evokative atmosphere.

Love the tones on the guitar solo at 2:10 - 2:51.

I like this. I feel myslef wishing for a little more space in the mix - a wider panorama, not that I'm fighting to hear elements of the mix, but that there is so much in there that a wider spread would add to the musical-mind journey.

I loce that wimsical strings and piano(?). Vocals are beautifully done, I must say. It has a Pink Floyd charm about it, like early Floyd.

Pretty captivating too. I love how the piano fades into the background, yet you still know its there, doing its work very subtly.
