Another fantastic track beautifully played. Parts of the drumming reminds me of Jefferson Airplane (on the verse)
Ghostie, its good to hear more of you. oh yeah
Cool FX on the guitar and killer solo.
Great production.
Nice work..!

Gene! I this song, but I don't care for that deep growly voice ... I don't know how you did that, but it was a bit distracting. And your voice should be a bit more prominent, I think, in the mix. Now... Ghostie! Lady!!!! I knew you were bad! And a real drummer! I think this song has great potential, but I think you're right about the vocals being a bit busy, too. Still.. very

Don't know the original so I am not prejudiced with expectation. The vocals don't bother me, but I have no basis of comparison to go by. The mix sounds great, esp with real drummer. I have to admit I read the phrase "real drummer" and expected everything else to be drowned out in a sea of percussion. Not the case here (but the drums do sound great). More ie please!
PS - vox don't sound "busy" to me, if I had to change anything I would reduce the FX slightly (though maybe not really worth a remix) on the lead voc, and add more FX to Ghostie, because she comes through clear as a bell. But really, I prolly woulda called it done - just being nitpicky because U asked for it lol.

Dark, yet lightens in the right places.
Drummer?, I have issuses with busy drummers
Wish he'd leave that snare alone a little, when it comes to rock at 2:35 there's not enough change.
Vocals?, great job Gene.
Guitar?, nice job pal.
Main melody reminds me of early Black Sabbath.
Chorus is just lovely, shame the drummer couldn't have backed off on that part.
But, for all that, I really enjoyed it.
I'm getting fussy in my old age mate

Hello all you wonderful DMers, thank you all for listening I suppose I
was'nt crystal clear in my journal(Oops)
this is an original song! written just last week...When I first heard
dixondrummer & the 1900 bands music for
this song I fell in love with the wildly
buisy drums and very syncopated bass guitar and 1900s guitarist is great
BTW/I play the second lead and add harmony leads in other parts.I do all of the vocal tracks except for one that I saved for Ghostie I've had a blast workin in the studio with her,and
hopefully we can do more in the future gotta keep yer fans happy!! anyway 1900 gave me three
pieces of music to play with this is the first..2 and 3 are in progress
"Heaven in your Eyes"
I wont let my dreams disappear
I'll never give in to fear
I wont let the clouds get in my way
The rising of the sun brings a brand new day~~~~~~~~~~
I believe it,got to say
I believe it,dont you know
I believe it,think its safe to say
I believe in the moon I believe in the sun,I believe that the two of us are one
I believe in the stars I believe in the skys I believe in the heaven in your Eyes~~~~~~~
I know the flames of desire can burn
I know its never to late to learn
I'll never stand to close to the brink
Its always closer than we think
I believe it got to say
I believe it dont you know
I believe it think its safe to say
I believe in the day I believe in the night.I believe in the dark I believe in the light.I believe in the stars I believe in the skys.I believe in the heaven in your eyes~~~Lead, repeat chorous, dual lead~~~the end
thanx to all who've listened and thanx for the input I'm taking notes Much love~Gene~

I've listened on 3 different sets of headphones and can't find anything I don't like! The song is rich and full, but not busy.
Gorgeous intro, love that melodic guitar. Fantastic vocals - the 3 elements combined work perfectly for me (if I HAD to find anything to pick on there was just one tiny place just before the instrumental solo where the vocals went a little out of sync - but hardly even noticeable and I was listening VERY hard!) Great guitar work throughout, especially the solo Love the arrangement and the way it goes into another gear on the instrumental. Great vocal melody - very memorable hook...and yes I hear elements of Black Sabbath too. This track is a dream...and damn I wish I'd written it!!

this song is BADA$$ man
the vocals are phenomanal !!! the only thing i would say is free up some of the reverb the voices deserve to shine. man the harmonies are just killer
now ghostie you really make this track good to hear your voice again...we need more of you now to the music..
omfg this music killz ...trueley awesome arrangement reminds me of blue oyster cult for some reason and gene what an awesome solo .. top notch everything

On my second listen now. The vocals sound a bit muted especially during the verses. I might play with the EQ and bring up the highs to help contrast with the parallel melody being played there. The guitar performance is top-notch. Very nice solo. The rhythm section has some great syncopations.
It reminds me of some of Imemine's material.
Cool track, enjoyed it.

cool tune, the bass and drums on the chorus are lock step for sure...the backup vox seem just a touch muddy in spots, but yeah, the harmonies throughout kick, which is sort of a theme, with the vox/guitars.

this is really really cool. I love the gutar work, the harmonies are awesome, and how the verses sound so eerie compared to the chorus, which is extremely catchy. great lyrics too. the only thing I think could improve it is the quality of the recording or maybe a cleaner mix. it sounds like there are some things stepping on each others toes and not letting the full mix come through. I agree with rodrica, I wish I would've wrote this too very powerful and cool song.

The intro reminded me of the obligatory heavy ballads that metal bands put on their albums in the '80s...I was glad to hear it give way to something much more intriguing- delightfully over-the-top Proggy melodrama!
I wasn't surprised to read that Gene thought this piece might be a bit much, but I couldn't disagree more. Sometimes MORE is more, and this...the huge swimmy vocals delivering Big Ideas, the larger-than-life harmonizing guitar leads, the toying with classical theme and variation...sometimes, being a little self-indulgent in writing and recording a musical work makes for a great listening experience. Heck, I even grew to love that intro once I heard it's context...

Wow real drums eh!!! Thats something I have wanted to have on my tracks for a long time. Excellent drumming too!
I just love the vocal expression to these lyrics. They are so smooth. Very 70's in a lot of way. Trippy could be another work to describe it. The vocals harmonize quite nicely and even through quite different, jell together in such a unique way.
Guitar playing in just great. This is an awesome collaboration of the highest quality. I love playing your music loud for everyone to hear!!!! This song is in my head now and its a catchy one at that. "I believe it"!!!

Wow, pretty intense song.
I think the drums could be up a bit more in the mix...particularly the snare... maybe that's just me...you kind of have a bit of a reverb wash going over the whole song so maybe you don't want the snare to stnad out too much... but for me pumping the snare up could really rive this song a bit more...
I like the guitar at the beginning. Nice verb/delay and atmosphere.
I really like the vocals in this song. The rhythm of them as well as the interweaving of the different vocal parts.
Some are dragging and some are driving.
Cool song though. Take my opinions with a grain of salt.

I love the start. I thought when I'm listening to the beginning the song would be vvv mellow & sweet, but it has horror side on the singin verse (well I think this vox is very loud in my headphones so tha background music wasn't to loud? Or just my freakin screw ears?). The chorus... I think it take me back to feel more not to feel scary for a while...
Nywaz, the instruments work vvv awesome, especially guitars, I love it!!! The 2.23 up is perfect... Love the melody from slow going to the fast drums... Cool to the end... Vvv great! Yay, I never good to comment, but above it all, I love this piece

To me this has a lot of Peter Gabriel in it. The tones again are Gene soooo smooth and pleasant The bass is amazin' The vox don't need to be lessened so much as panned - put the backing vox a little left and a little right that will give them more distinction and maybe won't seem cluttered. But I really didn't focus on the amount as much as the harmonizing. that's Ghost in there yea Carol you have a great voice I'm glad you joined in I hope you do more And DixonDrummer gets the job done - even though the leads are great the bass is just awesome! it really carries the song nicely way to go everyone Keep up the great work.

posting again on this one. I listened to it through the studio monitors. the first time I wasn't to sure about the lower vocal effect. I listened to a some more and let it play through the studio monitors and wow I really like that lower vocal thing now.imho this deserves a slight remix. It's a fantastic song and warrants some critique. imho the drums mainly the kick is lacking low frequency (punch) plus same thing with the bass. It has great sounds in it but seems to be missing some low end in it to fill it out more. I have listened to this quite a few times cause I think it's a great song. Hope i didn't offend any one just thought I'd make a suggestion. The playing is great.... just tweak some eq's a bit and or multi compressor and bring up the bottom end.
