I love the bluesy riffs all through the song way to go and the tone was perfect the song kept me hooked the whole time, and the vocals where very goody and gave it a little trippy edge(in a good way) 5 Stars Awesome song, this is being added to me Ipod as I type

Woah... what an assault on the senses...
This is full on by the fact of the mix of sounds and things going on... without resorting to full on distortion/compression to get the in your face effect.
Love it!!!!
Great guitar work.
Cool chorus and vocals in general.
I think the vocals could be a bit louder....
Love the panning at the end
Saving this to my HD

Right at the start of the song, the rhythm reminded me of kind of Rave-y, ’90s danceable stuff, made me start trying to remember what the next big rhythm box was after the Linndrum...a Roland something-zero-something, maybe? Then the Psychedelic, kinda Zappa-ish mutant Blues vibe kicked in and blissfully buried any thinking about the machinery.
I’m digging the lyrics, too. It took me a couplefew listens to understand them, but that’s neither here nor there. In fact, it’s often more fun to let my mind fill in the blanks for a while before I go back to discern what a singer’s actually singing. I read the description on your user page before hearing the song, and I heard less of the disjointed quality of most Stream of Consciousness literature than the description led me to expect. Again, not to say that’s any worse or better- it just struck me as an at least semi-edited stream...maybe...or maybe that’s just more of the let-the-listener-read-between-the-lines quality that I mentioned earlier. Either way, I’m groovin’ on this...

Whoa, what a fun ride!!!
You know who this reminds me of.....The Steve Miller Band.
The vocals have such a cool ray-ban type of attitude.
And the groove of the tune is absolutely incredible.
I can hear some ZZtop influence in there as well.
Fantastic songwriting and catchy as hell.
I totally enjoyed this. Thanks for letting me know about this.

I love the way you've laid out the drum line for this one. The thumping never stops, but the high-hat transitions really help drive the song through out. The break in the song around the 2 minute mark is spot on; great effect. Love the wailing guitar just kind of cruising yet simultaneously going off in the back ground, as your vocals carry the tune on. And the bass walk line around 3:15 added to the vibe nicely. Very cool man. Let me know when you get the lyrics posted...I'd love to check them out.

Hello all you wonderful dmusic people..
thank you all so much for taking
the time to review "Cosmic Man"and for
all of your comments, they really mean alot.much love to all my dmfriends!
heres the lyrics for those interested..
"Cosmic Man"
Theres something on his mind, and its starting to unwind like a hurricane
His sense of humor's dry,although he's
standing on the street in the pouring rain..He's everything the past has made him. He's also everything the future has
in store..He's microscopic,minuscule,and
very small yet universal cosmic and more. He's cosmic man cosmic man~ ~
He runs the full range of the spectrum
He got lightening bolts and stars in his
hand..He's got one foot on the earth, and the other in nowhere land..He's everything the past has made him,he's also everything the future has in store.
Don't you need a you know you want a cosmic man..don't you want a you know we
need a cosmic man..Don't you want a you know we need a cosmic man~~lead guitar~
Cosmic man.Cosmic man.Cosmic man.Cosmic man. Don't you want a you know we need a
Cosmic man..
He's not afraid of gamma radiation,he'll
save the world without a hesitation. He
don't even need an invitation,he'll always get a room, and he don't need a reservation..He's everything the past has made him,he's also everything the future has in store..Hes microscopic minuscule and very small, yet universal
cosmic and more..He's Cosmic man~Cosmic man.....Monster bass & lead guitar..
He runs the full range of the spectrum.
He's got lightening bolts and stars in his hand. He's got one foot on the earth,
and the other in nowhere land. He's everything the past has made him. He's
also everything the future has in store.
He's microscopic minuscule and very small, yet universal cosmic and more....
He's cosmic man~cosmic man~cosmic man~

Oh god I just I love the way the lyrics are so darn smooth that its just flows so well with everything in this. I have listened to this now 5 times in a row and its still leaving me wanting to hear it all again.
This is one hell of an addictive song. So soulful and just such style to its overall feel. I would rate this up there with the best work you have ever done. This to me is so epic in its 4 short minutes and its just so darn full of energy and brilliance. First class. One of the best songs I have heard this year. Should be taking the world by storm... it sure as hell is taking mine.

The guitar tones are great. That lead tone cuts through like a razor. I like the edge to your voice and the phrasing. I wish your voice was a bit more forward in the mix. I'd love to hear it a bit more clearly because your timbre and rhythm sound cool. The lead lines are hot . Lots of energy pushing this forward. The occasional string wipes are nice highlights

I decided to read the all comments before I listened this time.
This song of yours has been likened to Frank Zappa, Steve Miller & ZZ Top.
I didn't hear any of those mate.
Just Gene
And a bloody fine job you did too.
